ART SCENE in HAVANA

Left: The Taller Artistico de Serigrafia del Fondo Cubano de Bienes Culturales - Rene Portocarrero is located around the block from Plaza Vieja.   This large shop specializes in screen printing and had many prints for sale. However, due to lack of supplies not much new art was being produced.

Left: The Taller Experimental Grafica is located around the corner from Plaza de la Cathedral. This shop was very active and also had many prints and paintings available. Lithography, engraving, etching, painting, and linoleum are some of the types of works represented here. Often the artist was on hand to talk about their work.
